About the Opportunity

As an Apprentice Finance Assistant, you’ll join the Finance Business Partnering team and start a Level 4 Professional Accounting Technician Apprenticeship. This is a hands-on role supporting financial processes, data analysis, forecasting, and budget reporting for major government departments. You’ll gain valuable experience working across teams, develop professional accounting skills, and contribute to critical public sector decision-making. You’ll also benefit from flexible working, professional development support, and a Civil Service pension.

What We’re Looking For

Aged 16+ and not currently in full-time education
Right to work in the UK and able to work at least 50% of hours in England
No prior funding or higher qualifications in finance
Previous experience in a finance role
Strong organisational and communication skills
Willing to work toward or already hold GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4+) if under 19
Collaborative, adaptable, and eager to learn
