Join HMP Styal as a Prison Officer, where no two days are the same. Full training provided

Choice of 37, 39, or 41-hour working weeks

Salary from £32,448 to £36,541 (depending on hours worked)

Extensive Civil Service benefits including 25+ days' holiday, pension scheme, and paid overtime

What We’re Looking For

Aged 18+ and legally eligible to work in the UK
Strong communication, decision-making, and teamwork skills
Empathy, resilience, and a calm, confident presence
Ability to pass medical, fitness, eyesight, and hearing checks
Willingness to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
No formal qualifications required — just the right mindset
