About the Company
RSSB (Rail Safety and Standards Board) is a central body supporting Britain's railways to become safer, more efficient, and more sustainable. Their Human Factors team applies behavioural science and ergonomics to real-world challenges across the industry, driving improvements in safety, performance, and wellbeing.
About the Opportunity
As a Graduate Human Factors Specialist, you’ll join a 2-year development programme working on diverse human-centred projects in the railway sector. You’ll support data collection, analysis, literature reviews, interviews, and fieldwork—helping develop practical, people-focused solutions. You’ll also receive training, mentoring, and support towards professional recognition through bodies like the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors (CIEHF) or British Psychological Society (BPS).
What We’re Looking For
- 2:2 or above in Psychology, Human Factors, Ergonomics, or related fields
- Willingness to develop Human Factors expertise
- Analytical, methodical, and problem-solving mindset
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Competent in Microsoft Office 365
- Adaptable, resilient, and driven to grow professionally
- Willingness to travel and undertake placements
