Apprentice Teaching Assistant
30.38 hours per week, Term Time only
Salary: £10,438.20 Annually (Actual)
Ormiston Shelfield Community Academy is an exciting and dynamic place to work. We are an oversubscribed secondary academy with over 1400 students on roll at Key Stages 3-5. We are looking to recruit an Apprentice Teaching Assistant to work under the guidance of teaching/senior staff in an agreed system of supervision, to implement agreed work programmes with individuals/groups, in and out of the classroom. This could include those requiring detailed and specialist knowledge in particular areas and will involve assisting the teacher in the whole planning cycle and the management/preparation of resources. Staff may also supervise whole classes occasionally during the short-term absence of teachers.
As part of your wider duties and responsibilities, you are required to promote and actively support the Academy’s responsibilities towards safeguarding.
