We are currently recruiting for a Town Centres and Markets Team Leader
We’re looking for a visionary team leader to support the operation of the Town Centre and Markets service. You will support the Service Manager in the day to day operation of the service leading on projects relating to Car Parking, CCTV and Markets. Manage complex stakeholder negotiations, deliver the operation of the service and drive growth in our Markets.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Deliver the day to day operation of Car Parking, Markets and CCTV ensuring all legal compliances are met
- Leading on new initiatives to improve operational efficiencies, within the service area.
- Creating an environment of awareness of financial objectives, commercial opportunities and value for money, seeking external funding where available
- Managing budgets, teams, and partnerships with a focus on innovation, inclusion, and performance
Essential Requirements Experience & Knowledge
- Strong background in supervising, developing, and appraising staff
- Experience in procuring complex contracts and managing high-value projects.
- Sound understanding of government programmes and issues affecting local government
- Skilled in performance and risk management, resource planning, and financial oversight.
- Knowledge of customer care, equality, health & safety, and local authority procurement procedures.
Experience working in a town centre environment and commercial acumen

- Strong analytical and decision-making ability, with a commercial mindset.
- Effective time management, prioritisation, and organisational skills.
