Head of Social Sciences – Outstanding Secondary School – Wembley
Start Date: September 2025
Location: Wembley
Pay Range: Teachers Main/Upper Pay Scale + TLR

We are seeking to appoint a passionate and inspiring Head of Social Sciences to join our Outstanding secondary school located in Wembley. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic leader to shape the vision and strategic direction of our thriving Social Sciences department. Education and training provided.

The Role:

As Head of Social Sciences, you will lead a team of dedicated staff across a range of social science subjects. You will be responsible for driving excellence in teaching and learning, developing an innovative and forward-thinking curriculum, and ensuring strong outcomes for all students. Your teaching specialism can be discussed at interview.

*Qualified Teacher Status
*Proven ability to teach lessons that challenge, motivate and inspire all students
*A passion for teaching and the ability to make a real difference to young people
*The ability to lead, support, and develop a successful team
*Commitment to safeguarding and child protection
*Experience of or a strong interest in curriculum development and raising standards
