About the Opportunity

Join GlasgowWorld as a Trainee Digital Journalist and immerse yourself in Glasgow’s culture, history, and local scene. You'll cover everything from community stories to trending news and lifestyle features, creating engaging content with a focus on video and social media. With a hybrid work model (including shifts in Glasgow city centre), this is an exciting opportunity to develop digital storytelling, data-driven reporting, and audience engagement skills while working closely with an experienced editorial team.

What We're Looking For

NCTJ Diploma or equivalent journalism experience
Strong writing, research, and video editing skills
Experience using analytics to guide editorial decisions
Understanding of IPSO code and media law
Comfortable sourcing images and producing multimedia content
Proactive, creative, and community-focused mindset
Flexible to work occasional weekend shifts as needed
