Personal Care Assistant - SEN Teaching Assistant - Education and Training

A Personal Care Assistant is required to join a vibrant SEN school in Croydon, supporting students aged 11 to 18. This role is ideal for someone passionate about working with young people who have complex learning needs and is seeking long-term experience in special education.

As a Personal Care Assistant, you’ll support students with personal care routines, mobility needs, and classroom engagement. You’ll work closely with teachers and therapists to ensure every student receives the tailored support they need to thrive.

This position is based in Croydon, with full-time hours and long-term potential. Prior experience working in a special school is highly desirable. Strong communication, empathy, and a proactive mindset are essential.

Key Responsibilities - Personal Care Assistant

Provide 1:1 personal care and SEN classroom support

Assist students aged 11–18 with daily routines and learning

Work collaboratively with the SEN team and teaching staff

Help create a safe, nurturing learning environment

Support students with autism, physical disabilities, or complex needs

Requirements:

Experience working with children or young people with SEN

Comfortable with personal care responsibilities

Ideally, experience in a special school setting

A genuine interest in education and training

Availability to work in Croydon full-time
