About the Opportunity

As a Visitor Assistant at Portchester Castle, you’ll play a key role in creating a warm, informative, and engaging experience for all guests. You’ll work alongside a friendly team to support daily site operations, deliver excellent customer service, and contribute to a safe and well-presented environment. You’ll gain full training, access to career progression in heritage, and enjoy a range of benefits—including free site access and apprenticeship opportunities.

Enjoyment of teamwork and clear communication
Willingness to work weekends and Bank Holidays
Paid or voluntary public-facing experience (desirable)
