Graduate Management Consultant
Company
TXM Consult is not your typical consultancy. We’re made up of professionals with real-world, hands-on experience, who understand the challenges our clients face because we’ve lived them. We work across complex sectors, combining insight with practical expertise to deliver meaningful change.
Our services span two core areas: Advisory and Delivery. We support clients across the full lifecycle of programmes and projects – from shaping strategy to managing delivery – in industries such as Mobility, Aerospace and Defence, and Energy and Resources.
Our vision is simple: to set the global standard for service excellence. We’re a growing business with big ambitions, and our people are at the heart of everything we do.
We’re guided by three core values:
Credibility: We lead with honesty, consistency, and integrity.
Collaboration: We work with shared purpose, empathy, and communication.
Community: We create an inclusive, supportive environment where people thrive.
Joining TXM Consult means joining a team that builds trusted partnerships, embraces challenges, and shapes a better future – together.
Role Overview
As a Graduate Consultant, you’ll support the delivery of projects across the business – assisting project managers, conducting data analysis, and contributing to client engagements. You’ll work with experienced consultants to develop practical solutions, provide insight, and learn what it takes to succeed in a fast-paced consultancy environment.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Supporting project planning, implementation, and reporting
- Conducting data analysis to inform decisions
- Preparing for and attending client meetings and presentations
- Collaborating with internal teams to provide technical and strategic support
- Developing your commercial awareness and consulting skillset
You’ll be assessed against our Core Behavioural Competencies – including Communication, Building Networks, Business Acumen, Focus on Results, and Developing Oneself – with clear guidance on how to improve and grow throughout the programme.
Our Graduate Programme
Our Graduate Programme runs for 18 months and is designed to build confident, capable consultants.
In your first 12 months, you’ll follow a structured, high-quality training programme, focused on developing your communication, technical, and problem-solving skills. Regular assessments help us – and you – track your growth and maintain high standards.
In the final 6 months, you’ll have the opportunity to explore different parts of the business and shape your future direction. Whether your interests lie in delivery, advisory, data, transformation or sector-specific areas, we’ll help you find where you fit.
You may also be assigned to live, billable projects throughout the programme. While you’ll be expected to engage fully when these arise, there is no pressure to maintain high utilisation as experienced consultants do – your development remains the primary focus.
We’re looking for individuals who are self-motivated, curious, and ready to get stuck in. If you’re someone who takes initiative, wants to learn, and values feedback and challenge, you’ll thrive here.
Learning & Development
We’re committed to helping you grow with access to:
- Structured internal training and development
- Support and funding for external qualifications
- Informal mentoring from experienced consultants and leaders
- Opportunities to work on real-world projects from early on
We believe in creating a safe and empowering environment where graduates are encouraged to take ownership of their growth. You’ll have space to ask questions, try things out, and challenge yourself – with the full backing of a supportive and experienced team.
Working Arrangements & Location
We operate a hybrid working policy, offering flexibility where appropriate. However, during the Graduate Programme, we expect you to be based within commutable distance of either our Derby or London office, and to work from the office regularly.
Being present in person allows you to access support, build relationships, and make the most of training, mentoring, and collaborative working. This is an essential part of your early career development.
Project work may also require travel across the UK – any travel and accommodation expenses will be covered. Additionally, as part of our evolving portfolio, there may be opportunities to support work across Europe or North America, depending on business need and project availability.
Requirements
We’re looking for ambitious, capable graduates who are ready to take control of their development and grow with us. You should have:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant Business, Management or Technical subject
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work both independently and in a team
- Drive, resilience, and adaptability across hybrid, site-based, and office-based work environments
- An interest in consulting, delivery, and data-informed decision-making
Pay & Benefits
We offer a competitive package designed to support your wellbeing and long-term development:
- Salary: £28,000–£32,000 (based on degree and experience)
- Leave: 25 days annual leave + bank holidays + your birthday off
- Private Healthcare: Provided by Vitality
- Discounted Gym Membership & Fitness Devices
- Fully covered expenses for project-related travel and accommodation
- Global Exposure: Potential for involvement in overseas projects
Next Steps
Our Graduate Programme is more than just a first job – it’s the start of your consultancy career. Many of our graduates go on to become Junior Consultants, with the right support and a clear pathway to progress further.
You’ll be supported by structured development plans, mentorship, and the opportunity to pursue professional qualifications. But your growth will ultimately be driven by your mindset – your willingness to take ownership, embrace challenges, and pursue your goals with energy.
At TXM Consult, we’re building something exciting – and we’re looking for graduates who are ready to be part of it. If you're motivated, curious, and want to make a meaningful impact in a supportive, dynamic environment, we’d love to hear from you.
