Birmingham Community Equipment Loans Service (BCELS)
An exciting opportunity is available to join the Birmingham Community Equipment Loan Service (BCELS). This service works in conjunction with clinical teams across the city to provide support to individuals at home, serving both children and adults. Our site in Nechells is a bustling hub of activity, with clinicians, administrators and logistical teams working to deliver these critical services.
This brand-new post will offer an opportunity for you to become part of a service that is rapidly developing, in response to the changing demands of the health and social care economy. This new post will work under the direction of the Contract Manager and Clinical Lead to provide support to over 2000 clinical prescribers, Commissioners, the Provider as well as vulnerable citizens and their families.
We require a Commissioning Officer who has experience in the health and social care sector and has a significant awareness of community equipment and the vital role it can have in supporting our citizens. You will be an individual with a high level of organisation skills and positively interact with prescribers and vulnerable citizens from a full range of partner services and the community. The post holder will support the operational delivery by displaying strong market intelligence of community equipment, collating key stats and producing reports to share with Commissioners and key stakeholders.
The post holder will support the Contract Manager in the delivery of projects, including completing the procurement cycle for commissioning a new Birmingham Community Loan Equipment Service which will include collaboration and effective partnership working with partners like the NHS and consultation with stakeholders.
