About the Opportunity

Join Thames Water as an Instrumentation, Control & Automation (ICA) Apprentice and gain real-world experience maintaining and improving clean water systems. Starting in September 2025, this 3–3.5-year apprenticeship combines hands-on training, college learning (Basingstoke College), and the chance to qualify with a Level 3 Diploma in Engineering. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers, develop cutting-edge skills with systems like PLCs and SCADA, and benefit from mentoring, paid travel/accommodation, and a competitive £21.5K starting salary. You'll also unlock future career opportunities within the company post-apprenticeship.

What We’re Looking For

Predicted or achieved GCSEs (minimum grade 4) in English & Maths or equivalent
Live within 30 minutes of Bourne End (SL8 5NT)
Willing and able to drive by the end of year 2
Enthusiastic about technology and engineering
Organised, safety-conscious, and eager to learn
Able to work both independently and in a team
