We are looking to recruit a talented, highly motivated individual to provide an exceptional business support service to our pupils, staff and wider stakeholders. As a key member of our school’s business support team, your expertise will help to deliver an outstanding learning environment for our young people.
As the Bursar, you will play a crucial role in the efficient and effective organisation of the school. Your responsibilities will include financial management, human resources, facilities/site management and health and safety support. You will be a committed team player with excellent organisational and specialist technical skills. You will have extensive experience of delivering outstanding customer service and possess the ability to develop relationships across our school community. In addition to relevant qualifications and experience you will need creativity, good interpersonal skills and resilience. Previous experience of working in a school or educational setting is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management: Budget planning, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with school financial procedures.
- Human Resources: Managing recruitment, payroll and contracts, invoices, and procurement with accuracy and efficiency.
- Administration: Overseeing office operations, data management, and compliance with statutory requirements. Collaborate with the Headteacher, Governors, and staff on strategic initiatives.
- Site & Facilities Management: Ensuring the school environment is safe, secure, and well-maintained. Supervise facilities management, including contracts and maintenance.
- Procurement & Contracts: Managing service providers and negotiating contracts to ensure value for money. Explore funding opportunities and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders.
