About the Opportunity

As an Associate Design Draughtsperson Apprentice, you’ll join BT’s UK Radio Structures Design Team, working on a wide variety of radio sites — from remote poles to iconic towers. You’ll learn to create structural designs, support field engineers, and contribute to the operation of essential communications infrastructure used across mobile networks, emergency services, and more.

This Level 3 apprenticeship gives you hands-on experience and formal qualifications (including a BTEC and NVQ), all while earning a £23,810 salary. With expert mentorship and real-world projects, you’ll build skills in engineering design, planning, and structural analysis — with clear pathways for long-term progression within BT’s specialist teams.

What We’re Looking For

5 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above, including English and Maths
Full UK driving licence (role involves UK-wide travel)
Interest in engineering, planning, or design
Growth mindset and strong analytical thinking
Proactive attitude and emotional intelligence
