The Ministry of Defence (MOD) supports the UK's defence through a range of specialist services. The Defence Healthcare Recovery Group (DHRG) helps injured service personnel regain operational effectiveness through high-quality, targeted rehabilitation. The Regional Rehabilitation Unit (RRU) provides essential administrative and clinical support to ensure effective patient care delivery.

About the Opportunity

As a part-time Administrative Officer, you’ll be a key member of a dedicated rehabilitation team. This permanent role involves supporting both clinical staff and patients through appointment management, data entry, and communications. You'll gain hands-on experience in healthcare administration, take part in process improvement initiatives, and develop a wide range of transferable skills. The role includes access to tailored training and a Civil Service pension contribution of 28.97%.

What We’re Looking For

Confident IT user, especially in Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong communication skills (face-to-face, phone, email)
Organised and proactive, with attention to detail
Comfortable managing appointments and caseloads
Able to work part-time (24 hours/week), including Friday mornings (08:00–12:00)
Willingness to support team meetings and ongoing improvements
