The Opportunity

We are looking for an ambitious, technically-minded graduate to join a dynamic team as an Internal Technical Engineer (Pre-Sales) within a company specialising in bespoke and standardised lift solutions. This is a pivotal role that sits between engineering and sales, helping to drive new business through technical understanding and excellent communication.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a technical environment and has the ambition to develop into an external technical sales role in the near future.

Key Responsibilities

Support the sales team with technical input on lift specifications, drawings, and product compatibility
Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and provide tailored pre-sales engineering solutions
Produce detailed technical proposals and documentation
Liaise with design, engineering, and project teams to ensure smooth transition from proposal to project delivery
Keep up to date with industry innovations and product developments
Participate in client calls, meetings, and (eventually) site visits as part of your professional development
Provide internal training/support as needed to the sales and customer service teams

What We're Looking For

A graduate with a degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related technical discipline
Strong technical foundation with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics
A proactive, inquisitive mindset with an eagerness to learn and grow
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A genuine interest in transitioning into a customer-facing sales role in the near future
Good commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
Team player who is happy to get involved and take ownership

Desirable (but not essential)

Knowledge of lift systems or construction/installation sectors
Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design software
