This position suits someone with a strong background in sales or account management, potentially stepping up from a Business Manager, Recruitment Consultant, or Sales Executive role, who is confident in working with professional buyers and understands the demands of the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and grow a portfolio of key national accounts within the civil engineering/construction space
Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring a high standard of service and communication
Work closely with internal teams and local branches to deliver on client expectations and project needs
Identify opportunities for upselling and crossselling services to maximise account value
Build relationships with professional buyers and procurement specialists
Develop account strategies to ensure client retention and longterm growth
Monitor market trends and competitor activity to stay ahead in a competitive landscape

Candidate Profile:

Proven track record in account management, business development, or recruitment sales
Strong commercial awareness and confidence in dealing with procurement professionals and senior stakeholders
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationshipbuilding skills
A positive, cando attitude with a strong sense of motivation and ownership
Familiarity with the civil engineering or construction industries
Based in the South of England with flexibility to travel to client sites and branches as required
