We’re working with a well-established non-profit organisation that is looking to welcome an Accounts Assistant to their friendly and growing finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in accounts who is seeking a meaningful role in a purpose-driven organisation.

This position is fully office-based, offering flexibility with hours and open to both full-time (35 hours over 4 days, Monday to Thursday) and part-time applicants (minimum 3 days).

What you'll do as an Accounts Assistant:

Processing invoices, expenses, and payments using Sage accounting software
Managing both incoming and outgoing payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Performing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
Assisting with monthly and quarterly financial reporting – including balance sheets and P&L
Supporting with VAT return preparation and submissions
Monitoring cash flow and helping to ensure smooth day-to-day financial operations
Reviewing staff expense claims to ensure they meet internal policies
Generating and issuing client invoices
Providing general administrative support to the finance team and assisting with queries

Who we're looking for:

Previous experience in a finance or accounts admin role
Confident working with Sage and Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas)
A solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting fundamentals
High attention to detail and comfortable handling a variety of financial tasks
Strong communication skills – able to work well with internal teams and external partners
