🔧 Junior / Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer

📍 Location: East Yorkshire

💰 Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 (DOE)

🕐 Mon–Thurs 8:30–5:15, Fri 8:30–1:00 | Hybrid/WFH | 37.5 hours/week

The Role:

Working as part of a growing Mechanical Design Team, you’ll support the full product lifecycle—designing custom housings, fixtures, mould tools, and test jigs using SolidWorks + PDM.

Key responsibilities:

3D CAD modelling and 2D manufacturing drawings
Designing mechanical components in steel, aluminium, bronze, and polymers
Producing BOMs and work instructions
Supporting prototype builds and getting involved in physical product testing
Liaising with suppliers and the production team

The Person:

A Mechanical Engineering or Product Design graduate (or equivalent qualification)
Some experience with CAD design (university, internship or placement)
Confident with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software
A problem-solver who’s eager to learn in a fast-paced, hands-on setting

Salary & Benefits:

Salary from £26,000 – £30,000 depending on experience
25 days holiday + bank holidays (33 total)
