The Cabinet Office is the central department supporting the Prime Minister and leading cross-government priorities. Its Digital team powers digital transformation across the Civil Service, aiming to modernise operations and drive efficiency through innovative technologies and smarter data practices.

About the Opportunity

As a PMO Support Officer, you’ll join a major transformation programme that’s reshaping the way government works behind the scenes. You’ll help ensure smooth delivery by supporting scheduling, managing risks and issues, coordinating training, and maintaining key project documentation. This is a fast-paced, collaborative role offering valuable exposure to large-scale digital delivery and a range of project management tools and techniques. You’ll develop core professional skills and gain hands-on experience working with internal teams, commercial partners, and programme leaders. This is an 18-month fixed-term position with excellent Civil Service benefits and learning opportunities.

What We’re Looking For

Experience planning and maintaining project schedules
Ability to manage risks and track issues
Strong analytical skills and ability to draw insights from data
Confident decision-making using evidence
Desirable: Experience in agile or digital environments
Desirable: Awareness of government or public sector processes
Salary: £28,791–£30,088 + 28.97% pension contribution
