Within this, the Fleet Operational Standards and Training (Submarines) unit oversees the governance and delivery of submarine crew training. Civilian and military personnel collaborate to maintain readiness for national defence operations.

About the Opportunity

As the Charge Book Officer (CBO), you'll manage classified publications, coordinate information handling, and support security assurance activities. This role provides valuable exposure to defence operations and secure data management, offering an excellent foundation for a long-term civil service career. You’ll develop key administrative, security, and stakeholder coordination skills, with access to flexible working and ongoing training. This is a part-time, 20-hour-per-week permanent role, with hybrid working arrangements and potential for expanded responsibilities during transformational updates to submarine training facilities.
