About the Opportunity
Join OVO as a Smart Meter Apprentice and get paid to train while gaining industry-recognised qualifications. Through a 53-week programme—including 20 weeks of expert-led training and on-the-job mentoring—you’ll become fully qualified to install and maintain smart meters in customers’ homes. You’ll earn £22,825 to start, rising to £26,975 post-probation and up to £35,950 once fully qualified. What We’re Looking For
- A strong desire to learn and develop technical skills
- Great with people and confident communicating in customers’ homes
- Problem-solver who enjoys practical, hands-on work
- Comfortable using smart devices and learning new tools
- Good Maths and English skills
- Full UK manual driving licence (max 6 points)
- Age 18+ and eligible to work in the UK
