About the Opportunity
This 12-month internship offers a unique opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering graduate to work on the design and development of a novel medical device within the Orthotic Research & Locomotor Assessment Unit. You’ll gain hands-on CAD experience (using Fusion 360), contribute to testing and clinical services, and develop essential skills in device manufacturing, quality management (ISO 9001/13485), and healthcare innovation. Supervised by experienced engineers, you’ll play a key role in a meaningful project with real-world impact.
What We're Looking For
- B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering (essential)
- Strong CAD skills (Fusion 360 preferred)
- Experience liaising with industrial partners
- Willingness to travel for collaboration
- Basic coding skills (e.g. Python, MATLAB) desirable
- Interest in medical device development and clinical applications
