Responsibilities
As a Graduate Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Site Investigation Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the planning, execution, and reporting of geotechnical and geoenvironmental site investigations.
- Conducting fieldwork, including soil and rock logging, sampling, and in-situ testing.
- Supervising drilling, trial pitting, and other ground investigation activities.
- Preparing factual and interpretative reports based on site investigation data.
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
- Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Supporting senior engineers in the design and analysis of geotechnical and geo-environmental solutions.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- A degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or a related discipline.
- A strong interest in geotechnical and geoenvironmental engineering.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
- A willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions and travel to project sites as required.
- A valid driving license is desirable but not essential.
Day-to-Day
Your day-to-day activities as a Graduate Geotechnical/Geoenvironmental Site Investigation Engineer will involve:
- Conducting site visits to perform ground investigations and collect data.
- Collaborating with team members to analyze and interpret geotechnical and environmental data.
- Preparing detailed logs, records, and reports based on fieldwork findings.
