Are you a recent English graduate with a flair for communication and a desire to help students develop essential literacy skills? Would you like to gain real classroom experience while supporting pupils who may struggle with reading, writing, or analysis?
Tradewind Recruitment are working with Secondary schools in Waltham Forest who are looking for Graduate English Teaching Assistants to join their English faculties and support the academic progress of pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4. These roles are perfect for aspiring teachers or future educational psychologists seeking meaningful, student-facing experience.
You'll work closely with both high-achieving students and those in need of targeted support, helping to improve literacy levels and boost confidence in both written and spoken English.
Role Responsibilities:
- Supporting students in English Language and Literature lessons
- Delivering interventions focused on reading comprehension and writing technique
- Helping EAL and SEN pupils access curriculum content
- Assisting with lesson planning, feedback, and classroom organisation
- Encouraging student participation and engagement
