We are working with a highly supportive school in Newbury that caters to students aged 5–19 who face challenges in mainstream education due to behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties. This specialist setting is looking for a Behavioural Support Aide to join their dedicated team ASAP on a full-time, term-time basis.
The school provides a safe and structured environment where students are supported to re-engage with education, develop positive behaviours, and build brighter futures. As a Behavioural Support Aide, you’ll play a vital role in helping students regulate their emotions, build self-confidence, and succeed in their learning.
Key Information for a Behavioural Support Aide:
* Start Date: ASAP
* Hours: Full-time, 08:30–15:00 (Monday to Friday, term-time only)
* Pay: £85–£100 per day (depending on experience)
* Location: Newbury
What you’ll do as a Behavioural Support Aide:
* Support students 1:1 and in small groups to manage their behaviour and access learning
* Help deliver tailored lesson plans that meet individual needs
* Create a calm, consistent, and positive learning environment
* Work closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to support each student’s progress
* Act as a positive role model, encouraging emotional resilience and social skills
The role of Behavioural Support Aide is ideal for someone who:
* Has a genuine passion for helping students with behavioural and emotional needs
* Is patient, empathetic, and able to build trust and rapport with young people
* Has a Grade C/Level 4 or above in GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)
* Has experience working with children or young people (preferred but not essential)
* Works well as part of a team and stays calm in challenging situations
