Role Overview:
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will provide valuable support to teachers and students in a range of subjects and age groups. You will assist in delivering lessons, supporting students with their learning, and contributing to classroom management. Whether you are looking to develop your skills for a future teaching career or gain experience in a classroom setting, this role will provide you with a fantastic foundation.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide classroom support to teachers and students.
Assist in the preparation and delivery of lessons.
Offer one-to-one or small group support to students, particularly those who may need additional help.
Help with the management of classroom behaviour.
Assist in marking and providing feedback to students on their work.
Foster a positive and engaging learning environment.
Support students with special educational needs (SEN), where applicable.
Requirements:
A recent graduate (any subject area considered).
Passionate about education and supporting students in their learning.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Enthusiastic, patient, and committed to supporting the educational development of students.
Previous experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, volunteering) is desirable but not essential.
