About the Opportunity
As an Apprentice Pharmaceutical Operator, you’ll gain practical experience running large-scale chemical syntheses using a variety of equipment—some never before trialled at scale—while studying towards a BSc in Chemistry. Working 12-hour shifts on a structured rotation (days and nights), you'll receive comprehensive training, a £22,000 salary plus £8,196 shift allowance, and exposure to advanced pharmaceutical production processes. It’s a rare opportunity to develop specialist technical skills alongside academic progression.
What We’re Looking For
- A-level or equivalent in Chemistry
- Awareness of cGMP and pharmaceutical regulations (desirable)
- Excellent planning, organisational, and communication skills
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently
- Good IT skills, especially Microsoft Office
- Flexible, proactive, and eager to learn in a shift-based role
- Willingness to take accountability and contribute to continuous improvement
