We are looking for a Country Lead who will play a key role in shaping our development and growth trajectory in new markets. You will lead on-site operations. This dynamic role will involve wearing many hats, to drive operations that are critical to the company future.
You will have significant exposure to partners and customers, with the opportunity to shape operations in totally new markets. The role requires a driven, ambitious person committed to continuous learning and delivering high performance in a fast-paced environment.
We're in the live events business, which means in-person events are our core. This translates to our company culture and this role requires the candidate to be in the office five days a week at our London HQ.
This in-person environment fosters agility. Being together allows our team to make quick decisions and adapt to the constant changes in our industry. Responsibilities Your role will involve:
1. Website & Content Localisation
? QA the localised version of the site (UI text, banners, layout, links, translation accuracy).
? Identify and flag broken HTML, layout issues, and content gaps.
? Liaise with the product team to resolve localisation bugs or inconsistencies.
? Review content (e.g., event listings), ensuring it’s to the highest standard - reads naturally and that the platform reflects local norms and expectations. 2. Creative & Marketing Input
? Review and provide input on localised SEO content, paid ads, and campaign copy.
? Collaborate with the marketing team to align messaging with local tone and culture.
? Assist in localising homepage banners or special campaigns as needed.
3. Customer Experience Oversight
? Monitor customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints to ensure high satisfaction levels.
? Coordinate with the customer service team to address issues promptly and effectively.
? Implement feedback loops to continuously improve the customer journey.
4. Partnership Development
? Support relationships with local partners, including sports clubs, venues, and event organisers.
? Act as the secondary liaison between us and partners, ensuring mutual success.
? Sense-check new events going live in the territory for local relevance and accuracy.
5. Operational Management
? Oversee operations, ensuring processes are efficient and aligned with company standards.
? Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry best practices. ? Coordinate with local freelancers or employees, such as designers, photographers, or customer service representatives, as needed.
6. Market Feedback & Execution Insight
? Act as the internal voice of the market — flag consumer friction points, operational blockers, etc .
? Feed back insights on how the market is responding to product, content, and campaigns. Ski ls & Experience While these qualifications are highly regarded, we appreciate the value of diverse experiences. You don't need al of them, but should aim to cover most of them:
? Fluent in English and a combination of two other languages — Spanish, French, Italian, or German — both written and spoken.
? Proven experience in an operational role within the live events, hospitality, or e-commerce sectors.
? Possess a strong understanding of the market dynamics and cultural nuances of the countries where the language is spoken.
? Strong interpersonal skills, able to connect authentically with partners and customers.
? Strong problem-solving aptitude, capable of swiftly identifying solutions to address customer concerns.
? Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, adapting your tone to various communication channels.
? Empathy and active listening skills to understand customer needs and provide personalised solutions.
